Aldda Board!
Micah loves trains and this trip was perfect for him. Several times a day we saw trains passing our cabin and along the routes we drove. We thought it would be fun to take an actual train ride so we found the Tennessee Valley Railroad outside of Chattanooga.
We took an hour trip across several bridges, through a tunnel, and to a rail yard. There was a quick demonstration of a turn table and a walk through the shop before reboarding for the trip back. This turn table is perfectly built and balanced allowing the 80 ton table and the 120 ton locomotive to be turned by the hands of only four men!
Micah smiled almost non-stop from start to finish. He very carefully handed the conductor each of our tickets for punching in between bouncing on the seats and smooshing his face on the window glass. Anna was disappointed that no one called "all aboard" before we left. Or "aldda board!" as Micah likes to say it.

What could be more fun than watching a train while riding a train?
