Fun in Texas

We went to Texas to visit Peter's brother Mark and family.  The kids always enjoy fun with the cousins and we wanted to check out their new home.

The go carts were probably the highlight of the trip for Anna and Micah.  With two carts and nearly four empty acres to race in, there was no end of fun.  At least until the batteries needed a charge.  We also got to collect fresh eggs, play with their new cat, and help with the yard work.
Between our many adventures we had lots of good food and family fun.  The weather took a break from the rain just for us it seemed.
In case you are wondering, 2lbs of crayfish takes a LONG time to crack.  But it was delicious and we can't wait to go back to that restaurant on our next visit.

Tuesday, after a detour for a washed out bridge, we found our way to Arklatex.  That's the place where the three states meet.  We'd also like to shout out a thank you to the nice ladies who let our kids into the nearby liquor store for a much needed bathroom stop.
