Papa and Grandma Visit
What would summer be without some time with Papa and Grandma? They recently came for two weeks of fun and adventure.
We visited the Huntington Library and Gardens. It was a hot day and we didn't see everything there. Maybe we can go back another time. I especially enjoyed the old books on display, many of which we have studied for history.
Grandma and Anna enjoyed beading together. Calm and quiet is how they spend their mornings.
Here's a picture of our kayak adventure on the Newport Back Bay. We've wanted to do this for a while and enjoyed the time on the water.

Papa and Micah prefer more excitement and activity. After several short conditioning rides they rode the approximately 23 miles from a local park along the Mountain to Sea Trail out to the end of Balboa Pier. Papa did what most of us would do - he came home and took a nap. Micah spent a few hours splashing around in the pool. Where does he get all the energy?!?!
