Having Too Much Fun!

The week after Papa and Grandma left was kind of slow. This Friday we had no errands to run and no other big projects so Micah and I needed a project.

We have built many forts before but this was the biggest yet. It was a whooping 180 square ft plus a couple of spare inches. The fort is broken into three main sections. Starting on the left is the Costco table. Next is an arrangement of chairs with mattresses put on them to make a two person bed. Under the chairs that hold up the two person canopy, a crawl way connects the table with the last section. The last section is an open space held up by the two chairs for the entrance. This is also held up by the card table and the couch. All of it has an assortment of sheets covering it.

Well, making the fort only took until lunch so we needed one more activity and Micah wanted to make a paper chain. So we did. But not just any paper chain, we made a huge paper chain. There was one more problem. We needed a place to put it. We have a big swooping stairway that would be good for paper chains. So that's where we put it.

The best part about the paper chain was tearing it down. Because you rarely get to pull things down from a chandelier!
