What happens when a lemon doesn't grow right?

What happens when a lemon doesn't grow right ?

We watched this lemon form and grow while it was on the tree. We were constantly horrified and amazed at our one of a kind lemon. One good thing I can say about this very strange lemon is that it is so ripe on the bottom, it would make your mouth water and your mind think of lemon curd. We don't know how or why it formed this way but it did.
