Medieval Times Dinner Theater
Part of our Christmas gift to the kids was visiting Medieval Times for a performance. I have wanted to go there since I was little and I wasn't disappointed.
For those who haven't been, it's part dinner, part history class, part theater, part nature show, part dressage/Andalusian horse show. The dinner is eaten off pewter plates by hand since silverware wasn't common in medieval Spain. The show itself lasts over an hour and a half. It includes a falcon hunting demonstration and lots of horses. LOTS of horses - as you can see by Anna's happy face.

We did some research after the show. This location has approximatly 30 horses (many worth well over $100,000 because of their heritage and training.) Squires really work up to being knights and the weapons are real. The outcome of the tournament is predetermined but it's still very exciting to watch.
