Pumpkin Fun
Pumpkins rot really easily in AL. We found that out our first year here. Some people cut them no more than three or four days before Halloween. Otherwise the rotting flesh attracts bugs and all sorts of nasties. And the puddle of juice doesn't evaporate like it would in CA.
This year our pumpkin rotted even before the cutting process. (Playing soccer with it in the living room may have had something to do with it.) So I said the kids could do whatever with it. They started with rolling it down the slide.
Then they progressed to throwing it out the window.
They invented this handy lifting system.
Not so excited about clean-up but they got it done. The boots, gloves, and tarp were their ideas.
