Unpacking

We have been busily unpacking boxes for five days now.  Finding all sorts of things we knew we had and a few we didn't... like the stuff that was supposedly in this box.  We don't have a dog and we had all our car seats with us.  It turned out to be basket with a blanket in the bottom and our portable high chair.

Micah bursts into smiles every time something familiar comes out of a box...which is basically everything.  He's feeling right at home.  I have decided that home is where your stuff is.  Our Citrus Heights house didn't seem too homey once it was all packed.  This house instantly felt like home as soon as all our stuff started emerging.
And don't forget the fun of boxes!  The allure of sliding down this one lasted for about 4 days.
I've even come up with quite a box of yard sale stuff.  I know, I know, I was supposed to weed things out before we moved.  But somehow most items always had a place before and I figured I'd just hang on to them.  Now, when faced with having to find a place to stash a rarely used item, I'd rather see it go away for good.

  1. Hey! Caleb asked me a good question the other day I hadn't thought of - what happens to all the empty boxes when we're done?

  3. Talia says she wants to go on the sliding box. It's wonderful that the toys and boxes are keeping the kids entertained enough for you to unpack. :)
