Day 2 and 3
Yesterday: A leisurely morning of driving through Pelham and Hoover checking at homes. Micah happily went from house to house, considering the toy collections of the various bedroom options. He's going to be disappointed when he finds those aren't include in the purchase price. Saw several we like, even more we didn't. We met Peter's boss and his wife for dinner and enjoyed getting to know them.
Today: Headed out to revisit two of our favorites from yesterday. Made an offer that we think will have no way of getting any response. But the realtor's the expert and so we'll trust her judgement. On my part, periodic feelings of "this is never going to work!" We are supposed to move across the country in two weeks and there are way too many logistics between now and then. Maybe that feeling was just induced by all the paperwork we had to wade through this morning. Not feeling so much like trusting the Lord is all the fun and adventure I was seeing three days ago.
5 minutes ago: Heard from the realtor. The counter to our offer came in right where the realtor said it would. We made another counter and are headed out to the pool to wait for a response. It's humid here but not nearly as bad as I had psyched myself up for. Fickle little me, at the moment, trusting the Lord is easy again.
