Wedding Weekend
We were up in Corning for Josh Mitchell's wedding this past weekend. Josh and Peter were born only days apart and have been good friends ever since. Anna and I had a good time with Grandpa and Grandma Woodson while Peter was off with the wedding party helping with the preparations.
We discovered that Anna will not eat everything. Squash is the first addition to her yuck list and she is quite good at detecting spoonfuls that mom tries to slip in between bites of yummy foods. She will leave her mouth open, wiggle her lips, and act like the little dollop on her tongue is going to poison her. (So far, she hasn't noticed that I have been slipping it into her pears.)
Anna discovered that banging a sippy cup on a metal tray makes more noise than when banged on a plastic tray. She got to use the high chair her daddy used when he was growing up. Here she is gnawing on her first corn cob:

How funny - John-David and Nathanael will both eat just about anything -- except for squash. yellow, orange, whichever -- they find it and look alarmed. They'll eat kale, peas -- really anything - except for squash :-)
