Solids!

Last week we started feeding Anna some rice ceral. She loves it! Well, maybe she doesn't so much care about the rice cereal, but she certainly loves the eating part. She flings her arms out and thrusts her open mouth forward for every bite. Today was her first day with pureed zuchinni. After the initial shock of tasting something other than the blandness of rice cereal, she continued to attack each mouthful with gusto. Each bite is swallowed with a gulping sound and tightly scrunched eyes, followed by a shutter of delight - similar to what you or I would do when eating something tart (but much, much cuter of course.)

Unfortunately, we somehow lost the pictures and video we took of Anna's first feeding session. We will try to recreate the excitement with the next new food we introduce.
